DEERA is a local-services marketplace operated by ISACORE MINING BROKERS (PTY) LTD, registration number 2025/280482/07. This policy explains how we process personal information when you browse, create an account, contact a provider, make a booking, pay for a booking or list a business.
Information we collect
We may collect your name, mobile number, email address, preferred area, account credentials in protected form, booking and service details, enquiries and messages, reviews, provider business information, uploaded provider photos, and your marketing preferences. Booking details may include an address for delivery or an on-site service, vehicle details, or a child's age and gender when relevant to a service requested by a parent or guardian. Provider listings may include an area and map coordinates. We also record limited app activity, including the page visited, date, device class and a random visitor identifier.
Payments
When online payment is enabled, DEERA sends the payment amount, transaction reference, booking reference, customer email and mobile number to its payment processor to initiate and verify the transaction. DEERA records transaction status and amounts but does not collect or store full payment-card details.
How we use it
We use this information to operate and secure accounts; process provider applications, listings, bookings, payments and enquiries; connect customers with relevant providers; deliver service and security messages; prevent abuse; resolve disputes; maintain marketplace quality; respond to support requests; and send marketing only where consent has been given.
Who can see it
Providers see only the records needed for their own business and the services requested from them. Certain booking details are therefore shared with the provider selected by the customer. DEERA does not sell personal information. Information may be processed by providers that help us host the platform, store approved photos, process payments or deliver SMS messages, subject to appropriate safeguards.
Security and retention
DEERA uses access controls, secure account verification, password hashing and protected connections to reduce the risk of unauthorised access. One-time verification records, setup tokens and sessions are retained only as needed for security and expire automatically. Account and marketplace records are retained while needed to provide the service. Transaction, booking, dispute, security and audit records may be retained after account deletion where required for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention or dispute-resolution purposes; information that is no longer needed is deleted or de-identified.
Your choices and POPIA rights
You may withdraw marketing consent, ask for access to or correction of your information, object to certain processing, or request deletion of your account and associated information. A signed-in customer can delete the login account from the account area, or anyone can submit a verified deletion request using the public deletion page. Some transaction or dispute records may need to be retained for the reasons explained above.
Children's information
DEERA is not intended for children to operate independently. A child's age or gender is requested only when relevant to a service selected by a parent or guardian. Providers may use it only to fulfil that request and may not use it for unrelated marketing.
